| Alanya Review: | | Written by Mark Williamson on 25 Aug 2004 about a trip in Jun 2004.
| Alanya is pretty much the same as most of the european destinations as it really comes alive at night.
All the shops, shops and bars are open during the day but they take on a different life at night.
A visit to the castle is said to be worthwhile, i didn't go but i spoke to a few that did, and the said it was a stunning view both at night and during the day, although in the day time the heat can be oppressive.
There are many restraunts to choose from far too many to mention and the beaches are great especially kleopatra beach where all the jet skis etc are. They say Alanya is a little bit more expensive than Bodrum and Marmaris but his may be that this is whre the turks go fo there holidays, also they say that Alanya is the Turkish riviera. |
