i went on this holiday with my family,and i would never ever go back!!!!!!!!! When we gt der at frst we wer in shock with the amount of steps,,,as i said i went on a family holiday and we had babies and it was a joke getting the buggies up all the flights of steps,,none of us were put in the right room.. the staff are very unfriendly...we had no kettle and the electrical appliances did not work,, the pools were filthy dirty, every time we had to get a taxi we had to walk to the end of the town beacause the reception could not order them for us,these apartments are in the middle of no were ,there is absolutly nothing around , no entertainment in the day and in the night they had the same man on karaoke..the food was horrible, we seen many cokroaches inside and out of the apartments. i would not recommend any one of any age to stay here.. i would rate it a zero out of ten .!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, accommodation is very good value for money. Distance to the Old Town area of Albufeira is about a 20 minute walk, but plenty of parking space if you have a rental car. Payment is all in advance, whereas most other apartments in the city only require a credit card deposit. 24-hour reception is nice if you are checking out early.
The self catering studio was spacious, clean, bright and had a balcony. Avoid, if you hate steps and stairs. Lots of them here!
I was surprised at the lack of a kettle, draining board and brush for the dishes. (Microwave or hob could be substituted for kettle..)
The staff were friendly, courteous, and most importantly helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day, and reception rang taxis / bicycle rental etc for you.
A few maintenance issues with the room, but nothing to stop you enjoying your holiday… Dodgy TV buttons, sticky window, low battery beep on smoke alarm... The noise from the ongoing construction work across the main road was annoying, but nothing that Jardim-1 could do about that.
Restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating areas. Good menu choice, pizza's for take away, and breakfast served all day. Very reasonable prices. Small on-site convenience store for essentials, large & small outdoor swimming pools along with three tennis courts.

Our first impressions of the apartments complex was very good. We arrived by hire car and the reception staff were very helpful giving us clear instructions as to location and where to park. Our studio apartment was a little disappointing as on arrival the beds were in a strange "L-shape" configuration. Once they were moved and we were settled in (having got rid of the dead flies in the bath!!!), we felt more at home. The flies were a common feature for the first couple of days but after that - no sign. The lack of air conditioning was a problem at times but only to be expected with the price we paid. The appartments were in a good location (once we had found our bearings), with a 10 minute walk to some lively bars, 15 mins to the old town and a 10 minute cheap taxi ride to "The Strip". I wouldn't reccommend taking the bus to "The Strip" as it took forever and the taxis plentiful!
The food at the pool bar/restaurant was a little moree expensive than some places in town but I felt better value. The shop on site could have stocked a more extensive range bit was ok.

The apartments themselves are dated, but think retro, they’re almost back in fashion with dark tiles and wood everywhere. The rooms were spacious, especially the living/kitchen area, the 2 bed apt has a bathroom and separate toilet. Everything was spotless, from the upholstery and curtains to the bedlinen and towels (which were changed daily, except Sunday). OK a couple of the lights didn’t work but that wasn’t the end of the world. The whole complex was well maintained with gardeners and pool attendants present at various times. I would agree about the staff on reception, pretty indifferent to anything you have to ask, but our Direct Holiday rep was on site every day morning and evening if you needed help.
There is a free bus shuttle service from reception which will take you to the new town and then to St. Eluallia further east running 5 times a day. There are two restaurants with bars and also a pool bar. Two swimming pools and a kiddies pool, although all were freezing.
