| | Stayed at the Club Prai De Oura Complex. Very big place. Got pestered with time share at apartment door (promoting own hotel!). As our apartment faced on to the main road we saw a lot of things we wouldn't have had we been located near pool/reception etc and none of them good. We had locals shouting abuse to "us English" on a daily basis (bad enough but we are Scottish and proud of it), we saw drug addicts coming and going from the Woodland area across the road (they were dealing and sleeping rough in there), we saw the police hit a prowler to within an inch of his life with their truncheons (hit first ask questions later). Were offered drugs in broad daylight in the main strip. Wouldn't go back, but great eating places e.g. The sizzling stone, and great beaches, just a pity the locals don't want us there as much as our money. |
