| Just back after a week in Albufeira, its 5 years since I was last there and the difference between May and August is significant. Most places were open some not fully but at least it was easy to get a sea view seat at the excellent Riccardo's Italian restaurant and easy to get a seat at Vegas Bar to see the saxphonist/Guitar duo 'Loaded' (I think thats their name it used to be the Killer Bees) They are are superb. Bar street was not as mobbed then but if I had a preference I would pick August. Weather was fine it rained at night on one evening.
Airport taxis are a bit pricey 35 Euros each way so I booked a return transfer through Easy-goHolidays a local company cost 50 Euros in total for 3 of us. I highly recommend them. |
