Arrived to a good welcome from reception and were allocated the room we had asked for in an e mail we sent to the hotel. Top floor overlooking the pool and nature resrve. he front of the hotel overlooked a busy main road. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day.
This was the last week the hotel was open and we left on the last day. The hotel was very quiet with perhaps only 30 or so rooms occupied, mostly by Germans. This changed on the Friday night when a large family group of Spanish arrived for the weekend.
There were no separate sittings for meals, but we realised that the food was hotter if you ate early. we certainly didn't starve although the hot courses in the evening were not always to our taste, and the breakfast eggs were literally deep fried. Apart from that the salads and sweets were good and there was always plenty of fresh fruit and a variety of breads.
The rooms were good and as we had a room overlooking the pool we had the afternoon sun and could enjoy a sit on the balcony when we returned to the hotel after a day out. The staff in the dining room were okay especially the girls one of whom spoke english. Most of the gernmans said Good Morning/evening to us, except for the family next door who ignored us. there was, however a nice couple where the wife spoke English and we spoke each evening to them about where we had been that day.
We had hired a car at the airport and the hotel had a car park where we were able to park the car. It was not large so you would probable have more diificulty parking when the hotel was full.

After being over booked by Excel Travel we were sent to Alcudi Mar. The rooms on arrival were not ready. Our family room consisted of 2 beds for the four of us. Had to ask four more beds even knowing they were to accomadate us. Toatally German orintated, staff not at all friendly to us English. Felt uncomfy by the pool due to this. Food terriable, left over salads for breakfast with broken deeep fried eggs and german gaurlis sasage and always a veg, grren beans, carrotts ans even brussel sprouts. Never any bread ready. Evening meals just a night mare, breakfasts salad again and things such as rabbit and onion or pork chops seved in fatty runny gravy we think. Always chips and rubber pizza. Just unedable, we ate out after the second night so bad. Waters unfriendly. Air conditioning had been switched off for three days. Lights out on the balcony at 11.30 for everyone. Just could not wait to get out. Beach was our savior it was lovely but seriously lacked toilets. Would not or recommend anyone to go to this hotel.
