I am just home from the Amalia Apts and spent 2 sleepless weeks! In the day time its great, near shopping areas and bars/restaurants, but the apartment block itself was not cleaned once in the 2 weeks I stayed there we were given clean sheets after about 4 days and that was it......I had to ask for clean towles after about 10 days and she could only give me bath towels and she had no hand towels left...when she brought the clean sheets she handed them to me at the door and I had to make the beds myself..I know it was self catering but I have been to loads of self catering and they have at least been cleaned and fresh bedding at least ONCE a week.as for night time...well forget any sleep before 6 in the morning..the 3 bars and disco outside the apartment open at 11 in the evening and dont close till 5 and then all the cleaning up is done with (unluckily) a bottle bank outside the nearest bar where they proceed to dispose of all the "empties" until at least 5.30am what a nightmare evn after 5.30 the crowds are just dispersing with plenty shouting, singing and whatever else....we were even unfortunate a few nights to think of getting some sleep after that...but no luck the bin men then started doing their rounds!!!! I am as much a "party animal" as the next person but would have been great to have had even "one" nights sleep in 14....you have been warned!!!!!!!
