We stayed here for a week at the end of our honeymoon, Sep 2001. The hotel is very nice, clean, with 2 pools. It is split into 2 parts separated by a busy main road, so only one side has direct access to the beach. We were in the non-beach side, which we weren't happy about at first, until we realised how noisy it could get over there. The non-beach side was much quieter, especially around the pool. Our room was nice, ground level, although unfortunately didn't have much of a view. The beach is very clean, but is kept so by the hotel staff and isn't so nice if you wander further. You get a lot of hassle on the beach from hawkers, but this is very much the way it is on Koh Samui. It is quite a tacky resort, with a McDonalds, etc. and not much of the real Thailand is apparent.
