This hotel was excellent and much much better than expected for the price. It is right in the centre of Prague where all the action and the shops are. The hotel itself is quite grand, large and airy with six floors (minor gripe - only 1 small lift). The staff are very friendly and helpful - most speak English, and check-in was quick with a complimentary glass of bubbly. I had a single room with a Jacuzzi bath which was totally unexpected. The room was quite compact with a TV showing satellite, a mini bar, a safe (at no extra cost to use) and plenty of hanging space. The room was very clean, well maintained and the bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and also very clean. The one negative issue was my mattress had a plastic over-sheet (which I soon got rid of).
Breakfast was a mix of European cold meats and the hot bacon and eggs option at no extra cost eaten in a large dining room.
Again the key selling point here is the location, within easy walking distance to all the major sights, clubs, restaurants and bridges. Don’t be afraid to take advice from hotel staff on where to go and so on - they helped me a lot. They also offer lots of other services for the single traveller if required!
I paid £40 ($60 US) for my room per night which I think is an absolute bargain. I’d certainly stay here again.
