| Great city, great people. The public transport system is brilliant, really efficient.
We felt very safe walking around day or night, even in the red-light district.
There are plenty of places to eat and to enjoy a drink in the evening and lots of great attractions to see.
Make sure you do a canal boat trip, it's a really good way of seeing the city.
Another must-see is the Anne Frank House, very poignant, certainly makes you think. They don't sell lots of tacky souvenirs which makes a nice change.
Go to Amsterdam with an open mind and you won't be disappointed |
