Apollo Hotel Birmingham: Better than it looks from the outside. by Darren Lee |

When you pull up to the apollo, you wont be very impressed, they look like blocks of council flats. But then you see the reception, bar & dining area and it looks great. Next off to the room, lovely. Very clean, 'Well dressed', and a good layout. Full length mirror and a dressing table with mirror for the ladies. a dozen radio channels on the TV which is a nice change.
Its only a 5 min/5 quid taxi ride from the city centre (Quite impressed with the taxi's too, in Wigan we get mondeos, In Brum we was picked up and dropped off in Mercs. Haha), also a good place to start for the pubs/clubs. Theres a TGI Fridays across the road from the Apollo, and a Chef and Brewer 100 yards down the road.
Other good things include, its easy to find, the car park has security cameras, they will open the bar if you fancy a drink at 4am, and there is a conference room for hire.
And to conclude, I would definitely stop here again, great stay and value for money.
