3T / 4Star. I think NOT. Our worst holiday ever.
the Hotel may have 4 stars on the signs but i would rate it 2star from previous holidays. the hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful, but there it ends. We had to move rooms 3 times along with many other guests (all playing musical rooms for sleep) the rooms were so noisy at night you just couldn’t sleep. we managed 1 nights sleep during our weeks stay. We BEGGED the Thomson rep to move us after just 5 hours there!!(as soon as she arrived) but they wouldn't. The rooms are filled with STREET noise at night from BARS opposite the hotel, Scooters blasting up/down the surrounding roads, loud drunks in the street, car/scooter horns ALL night, fire and ambulance sirens at all hours of day/night (stations are abt 500m away from hotel). Bin men regular as clockwork 11pm, and noise from the hotel bar till about 2/3pm if you get rowdy guests as we did for the last 2 nights of our stay.
the food was dreadful, pretty tasteless and the SAME menu EVERY NIGHT ! enjoy a full English breakfast?? well forget it, not here it's all German orientated breakfasts, ie Frankfurters, spicy ham + soft cheeses etc... even the fruit was Unripe and too hard to eat. You had to eat early before things ran out. The POOL was freezing even though it was 35+ degs on the loungers! GIVE IT A MISS and not end up regretting booking. We looked at the golden Bahia at Tossa de Mar, NOW that was the sort of hotel we were EXPECTING, 4 star luxury and peace + quiet.

Stayed in Hotel Aquarium over 15 days in April 2003. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. the rooms were clean and serviced every day.
The food was very good, a choice of cereal, bacon, eggs cold meats for breakfast. A choice of soup, salads, pasta/rice, meats and desserts for lunch and evening meal. There was no limit to what you could take or how much.
There was entertainment in the evening, but not what you would class as star quality. There will be children's entertainment but it had not started up over Easter.
The hotel in in the quieter area of Fenals, about 10 minute walk form the Fenals beach. the centre of Lloret is about 15/20 mins walk away either by the longer flatter main road or down the shorter steep hill, ok going down but not as easy coming back up after an afternoon walk around the shops.
