This hotel has to be one of the best I have been to!!!
The accommodation from the public areas to the bedrooms is of a very high standard. The reception area and lounges are breathtaking with the amount of greenery and large chandeliers.
There are two large swimming pools for the amount of people in the hotel, and also plenty of sun beds, cushions and umbrellas for every one.
The food was brilliant with plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. There was also plenty of choice for vegetarian people. There were at least three types of fish and meats for you to try in the evening and all good quality, as well as a paster dish. The deserts are lovely although very sickly.
The entertainment was ok, with a different act each night, which lasted only for about half an hour and after that everyone disserted the “disco” and went to bed.
Probably the only downside to this hotel is the bar staff. This was due to waiting for long periods of time before being served and then waiting for another five minutes to be given your drinks. They seem to be more bothered about cleaning the tables and tiding up than serving people - maybe due to hotel policy of signing bills to your room, instead of dealing with cash, so of course they don’t get many tips. But if you give them a tip they will certainly rush around for you!
Apart from this everything was great it is not recommended for young children because there is nothing for them to do.
When we were there the hotel gave each room a discount of 60 euros per week off the extras bill. This was good as the drinks are expensive!
Overall this hotel is great for the summer but even better in the winter when all four bars are open and less children. Well worth the money and would go back.

If this is the 'Arona Gran' Then although it was a few years ago it was very impressive with excellent views and accomodation. Great location. Would definately return there again haven't done so as we have been trying to see as many other places as we could.
