Astoria: Recommended Hotel by Phil Smith 2 |

Rooms very clean and comfortable although ours had no view at all. Apart from that we could not fault it.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke reasonable English.
Breakfast very good and varied from Bacon, sausage and scrambled egg to cooked meats and a selection of cheese, jams cereals etc etc. coffee as good as any I've had with a hotel breakfast.
There are no real facilities which is probably why it is classed as 3 stars. There is a tiny bar in reception which was not open during the 4 days 3 nights we were there and we suspected it never did. However the hotel is well located and bars were within a 2 minute walk.
Situated just at the end of the main street with the flower market it was really ideally located, quiet but easy to walk to restaurants, shops, sights etc and close to the open top bus stop which helps to see the further away sights.
Value for money is probably average but we would definitely stay there again if we were to return to Malaga.
