Atlantica Bay: Top Hotel for relaxing by Jim Brown |
| Posted 12 February 2006 about a visit in January 2006 | Overall rating: 8.0 |
We visited this hotel for the second time in three years - it was as good as I remembered it to be. The hotel is of a good standard, the food was good although they had a few problems due to the refurbishment of the kitchens. We upgraded to All Inclusive at a cost of just over £100 sterling per week! Excellent value especially on a winter break where you tend to be around the hotel a bit more. The Bar and waiting staff were superb, the young Eastern European girls were a credit to their nation and the Cypriot staff are so friendly as well.
The hotel is a little bit isolated but there is no need to feel so because the bus and taxi service is excellent. 80 Cents takes you anywhere you like in the Limassol area. The weather for late January was fine,we had nice warm days for four of our seven day break. The remaining days were dry but a bit windy. There is construction work going on all around the hotel but we did not find it too intrusive, don't be put off by it!
We went on the Thomson organised tour to Nicosia which was very enjoyable on a very warm and sunny day indeed. A walk about the city was very enjoyable. All in all we had a nice winter break in Cyprus and will certainly be visiting the island and probably the Atlantica Bay again in the future.

Atlantica Bay: Thomson Gold by Graeme Cooper |

Endorse previous views on this well run hotel. The quality
of the food was excellent and suited the English palate. Entertainment on the cabaret evenings was patchy and the speed of service on the waiter gala dinner night was dire. The selection of TV channels poor - but overall a good experience and friendly helpful staff. Only the remote location of the hotel may put some off.
Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

Atlantica Bay: Eddie Mallon by Eddie Mallon 6 |

We were there the first two weeks of August 2003 and this was our fourth gold holiday. The hotel was the best we have been to (not that the past hotels were bad) and the staff were really nice and would go out of their way to give you personal attention. The hotel is a bit out of the way but there is a bus stop right at the hotel where you can get a bus into Limassol very cheaply. We hired a car for a few days which is a must as there is so much to see. They have a gala night every week which took place around the pool area with food a plenty and a show to follow. When we arrived we had the chance to go all inclusive and upgrade to a superior room (which was cheaper than the brochure price) which we took. The majority of people at the hotel took up this offer and we all felt it was good value for money and nobody abused it. You also dont have to get up off your lounger at the pool to go and get a drink as there are boys who walk about waiting on you, and some days the chefs would come out with trays of fruit all cut and ready to serve you around the pool. Very high standard hotel cant wait to go back
