Atlantis las Lomas: perfectly placed clean cheap good appartments by Noel Cowzer |
| Posted 13 July 2009 about a visit in July 2009 | Overall rating: 7.3 |
we had a studio appartment at los lomas .the service was good and prompt .we ate out every night but had breakfast there 3 euro for egg sausage bacon toast orange juce and tea or coffy ,supeer value and spotless clean . there is a facility at los lomas for laundry washing machene put stuff in apply powder turn on and return in one hour to put it on drier on balcony super .there are very few childrens aminatys the usual football, water polo etc all around the pool as the temperture is neerly in the 30 mabe its the right ting to be beside the pool .
location is right on cardiac hill (its about 200 meters long with a one in four ramp or a one in three ramp as it varies ) very steep going up but not too much going downhill i would say a bit dodgy with a bugy pram (no way in a wheel chair)but there is another way and it takes about ten mins extra not bad when returning after a few drinks etc . the appartments are cleaned daily and new sheets every 2 days the local brew is 2 euro and 2 wkd etc for 5 euro to eat out in pdc is very cheap with an ave3rage meal about 6.50 e and a few drinks you should do very well with your money.
old town to the right and a big shoping centre about 6mins walk and the new town to the right all the way for about 3miles long the beach is super all the usual stuff etc etc
when i booked my room i got a bigwory about the safety of money in the safe as someone said they were robed and the safe taken i find this v ery hard to swallow as the safes are old about eight stone ann i could not move the safe no mater what i tried . we got into a few bad words with the guys who sell tobaco in the shops as i was quoted 28 e foe tobacco so two is 56,handed in 100 e and he said 44 e each not what he quoted 28e so a few words were spoken and moneys were amended but i felt agreeved with no money been returned and a new price of 32 e by 2 =64e so a few words and normality returned .this was the only time we witnesed any wrong dooing .when talking to the street inviters into the pubs clubs etc they were saying that things have never been so bad numbers down at least 50% things are great value and bargins galore .
go vist and use these appartments well worth a visit
noel

Atlantis las Lomas: Not a very good experience by Hayley Bate |
| Posted 09 June 2007 about a visit in April 2007 | Overall rating: 6.3 |
Went here in April 07 with a few friends and it was possibly one of the worst holidays. We were watched within the first few days of being there and then eventually we got broken into. The funny thing was there was no damage to our hotel room at all so therefore this must tell us that someone who broke in had a key, we asked the security guard for help contacting the police anbd she could not even talk a word of english and basically didnt have a care in the world. Later on in the holiday after being moved we were approached in a club by the barman from this hotel who seemed to know an awful lot about us and why we had moved etc when we had never even seen him before. Even later into the holiday we were visiting friends who were locals in lanzarote and they were saying they had been offered mobile phones and video cameras etc which then lead us to someone who had been having a laugh with us all holiday but all along had our belongings. This just put me straight off, however it ruined it as the apartments are very nice but the staff just give me the creeps.

Atlantis las Lomas: Atlantis Las Lomas by Troubled |

Went there as a family of 5 in June 2001. We weren't near the main complex (which was quite noisy) but away from it where the two bedroom accommodation was. It was very quiet and the kids had the pool to them selves almost. The pools were clean and accommodation ok and clean. Maids went in every day. We didn't see any cockroaches in the apartment but they did fumigate every where during our stay and millions of the things came crawling out all round the pool area.
The complex was very close to all amenities and some very good restaurants, and the beach was just superb.
The Island trip and fire mountain is a must, it's expensive if you go with your tour operator but there are trips run by independent operators which are much cheaper for the same thing, just look out for the leaflets on the prom.
We will definitely be going back one day.

Atlantis las Lomas: Atlantis Los Lomas by Karen Smith 9 |

Sprawling complex set on more than one level with lots of steps. Not recommended for those with mobility problems, especially since the complex is situated up a steep incline from the main road.
Excellent proximity to the centre of Puerto del Carmen, everything is within walking distance. Good choice of amenities and a choice of pools.
Basic but clean apartments.
