First the bad points - there are only two, on arrival it took us nearly three hours to get our room - it was not ready and your luggage was to be left outside until uplifted by the bell boys. When we finally got our room we were told it would take up to two hours for our luggage to be delivered - like most people we gave up and took it ourselves. This is not a good start to the holiday and was obviously due to lack of staff.

Now the good points, this is not a hotel, it is classed as a resort and is a 4 star superior establishment. All guests are on all inclusive board, there is no half board or bed/breakfast available. 75% of guests are from the UK / Ireland the remainder from Spain, Germany, Holland and Luxemborg.

It is massive, sits in its own grounds with 24 hour security (we hired a car and without the blue wristband supplied there was no way you were getting into the grounds to use the underground car park - excellent security). It has three large outdoor pools, a whirlpool and a childrens paddling pool, lifeguards are on duty whenever the pools are in use. The pools are large and never feel crowded even when the hotel is full, the same goes for sunbeds, lots - no need to be down at the crack of dawn to book (the only people who did were English). The hotel has a policy of not allowing booking of sunbeds, but tends to ingore it as so few are reserved early. Pool towels are supplied daily (deposit of 10 euros per towel refunded on your depatrure). An entertainment team provide plenty of sports if you wish to paricipant ranging from volleyball, water polo, football, darts to mention some.

Entertainment is laid on every day for the children by the entertainment staff if you require this service.

The rooms are large and clean, and are available with king size beds or two lasrge single beds, new towels supplied daily and new bed linen twice a week, shampoo and shower gel is supplied daily and the free minibar is also restocked daily. All rooms have air con and a ceiling fan as well as a balcony with two chairs and a table. A safe is available at extra cost but be warned it is at floor level and a pain to use. We requested extra pillows and they were delivered within the hour. We also suffered from two spotlights in the bathroom blowing and again they were changed within the hour.
All rooms have a TV with Sky 1, CNN & Eurosport in English.
Bathrooms have bath & shower facilities and a hairdryer is also supplied.
Junior Suites with additions such as seating area & whirlpool bath are available at a premium. These are limited and appear to be the favourite with the German Guests - if you want one book early.

The hotel has a large restaurant for all meals which are buffet sytle. Tea / coffee is brought to your table for breakfast and beer/soft drinks/water is brought for lunch and dinner. All meals have a large variety of dishes and you should find something to suit you and you can eat as much as you like. Note that ladies wearing bikini tops will not be allowed in the resuruant as upper bodies must be covered. There are other restaurant you can use, namely Italian, Mexican, Asisin and Spanish but you require to book these. At no time did we find the main restaurant to be full so there was very little queques. Snacks are available 24 hours a day from the snack bars, one by the lower pool which opens until 8pm and the all night one in the square.
Unlike some all inclusive hotels where you require to be served by 'the one barman' you can help yourself to soft drinks, beer, coffee and some alcoholic drinks yourself. If you want hamburger rolls, hot dogs, chips etc from the lower snack bar - just ask and they are freshly made for you.

The lobby bar is open all day and you can help yourself to anything on offer - you have to pay for imported drinks such as genuine Scotch Whisky, but everything else is included in the price. It also served excellent coffee - just ask, dont take the stuff already made, they are happy to make you fresh cups.
Every night there is entertainment laid on by the entertainment staff and it is of a reasonable quality, there are also parrot, snake and flamenco shows laid on as well, all shows are included in the price.

A spa is available for those who want to be pampered but this incurrs an additional charge. The comlex has several shops and UK newspapers are available on the day of printing (2 euros).

Disabled guests are very welcome at this hotel. During our stay there were several guests using wheelchairs, including a young couople who were wheelchair bound and they could be found in all parts of the complex thanks to the path layout in the gardens and the large amount of lifts available.
It was noticable that the staff went out of their way to make disabled guests enjoy their stay.

Please be aware that Spain has introduced new anti-smoking laws and smoking is not permitted within the main hotel buildings, but you can smoke outside or in your room.

Apart from the delay in getting our room there is nothing bad I would say about this hotel, in fact whist we were there (2 weeks) numerious guests never left the complex, they were happy to stay there all the time. If you wish to explore you can hire a car from the hotel, use the free bus service or take a taxi from the rank outside the main entrance.

Would I recommend the hotel - without a doubt. We travelled with First Choice and the hotel can be found in their Premier brochure.
