Bahia del Este: ON THE SURFACE GOOD by Lynne Buchanan |
| Posted 06 October 2005 about a visit in July 2005 | Overall rating: 7.3 |
Stayed at the Bahia in August 2005. Nice looking hotel and good position close to beach and the main shopping area, though this doesn't detract from it as noise from the main shopping area can't be heard in main areas of hotel.
Plenty of food at breakfast and dinner though the hot plates to keep the food warm weren't that good. Main meat dishes repetitive over the fortnight just done differently.
Hotel not noise friendly in that it was one of the worst hotels for carrying noise into other rooms. Having said that though, come about 12.30 on a night the hotel went quiet, so you could get some sleep.
Overall the hotel is good but not the best that I have stayed in and certainly not the best in Cala Millor.

Just returned after a fortnight with my husband and 2 year old daughter.
Hotel was very smart, probably one of the nicest in the resort. Beautiful decor, room was of a very high standard - couldn't fault it, was the double of the brochure photograph. (Thomas Cook)
Staff were lovely, very friendly and happy to help you.
3 pools - 1 deep one, a smaller pool and a splash pool for little ones. Lots of sunbeds. Hotel very strict and the manager would be constantly checking that sunbeds were being used. If no-one returned within an hour, towels were taken to reception.
Food was okay, but by the end of the end of the fortnight, if we didn't see pork for the rest of the year, wouldn't be too soon. Desserts were rather yummy, however, so made up for the lack of choice with savoury dishes.
Weekly Gala dinner (Tuesday) worth going along to. Some excellent carved sculptures - a crocodile and a fairytale castle when we were there.
All in all, a very relaxing holiday and would highly reccommend Bahia del Este.

Bahia del Este: Bahia Del Este. by Enito |

Just returned from a weeks stay. This is an excellent hotel. Rooms are of a good standard and are kept very clean. The food was very good. There is a small pool and a childrens pool. The hotel is at the oposite end of Cala Millor from Cala Bona and the beach is only 100 metres away. Main shopping area just round the corner. Local buses stop just by hotel. Best for couples or families

Bahia del Este: Disabled Facilities |
| 31 Aug 2005 by Kay Charlton |
Can you tell me if this hotel has any facilities for disabled trasvellers such as a separate shower or wet room, rather than a shower over the bath which I cannot get into?
