Banff shopping

9.0
Plenty of shops in the Bannf Townsite but these tend to be pricey even for the usual nic nacs which you buy on holiday also watch out for the sales tax at 6 per cent which is added at the check out.

Banff nightlife

3.0
Not much in regard to nightlife in Banff but plently of bars very little music bars and one night club

Banff restaurants

9.0
Plenty of restaurants and you are spoiled for choice, the major chains are well represented Tony Roma's ect. Every kind of food can be had from Sushi to McDonalds. However it is hard for Europeans to get their head round the tipping required which is now a thing of the past in Europe. A good guide is to double the GST added at the end of your bill

Banff attractions

10.0
The main attraction around Banff is the Rockies and the veiws, they are awesome and beyond discription in both Banff and Jasper, every corner you turn brings a new veiw with truely outstanding breathtaking scenery.

Banff day trips

Columbia Icefield is amazing you can walk on the glacier, and the beauty of Lake Louise needs to be seen before you die.

Getting around Banff

The best way is to hire a car with petrol at these prices it is a breeze with empty roads driving is a pleasure, beware of speed limits as they are enforced by the RCMP. There is also a very good public transport system around the Banff townsite and most hotels give out free bus passes.

When to visit Banff

All year with first class sking in the winter and outdoor pursits in the summer .
