We just arrived back from the Sol Barbacan apartments and can highly recommend it if you are a family with young children or part of the older generation. The whole complex is the cleanest we have ever been to, if you go self catering you have the option to make use of the buffet breakfast ( 8€ adults 4€ kids) and /or dinner buffet/al acarte (11€ adults 6€ kids) and also snacks from 1.30pm - 3.30pm with a excellent menu. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and will go out there way to help you when they can. The maid comes in every day to change towels make beds etc. There is a kids club that take the young ones off your hands from 11 am - 12.15pm and 3.pm-4.15pm with a mini disco at 8.00pm till 9.00pm every night except Saturday. Then there is a different act on for everyone at 10.00pm for an hour. We will definitely go back again next year

Got transfered to this resort on our second night due to Green Park being "the pits". In every respect this is a four star complex. Place is spotless, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms themselves were top notch. I cant pick one single bad point about this establishment. Central too, really close to the better nightlife spots. Great for couples, familys and everything in between. Worth the extra cash... Without a doubt!

Well presented accomodation, in a good area. Safe and clean. Hotel staff were excellent in advising us where to go. There is an Aqua park within walking distance,(if you can put up with the heat of Gran Canaria) Hotel was brilliant with activities all throughout the day, fantastic reps that actually took time out to have a natter with you, even the bar staff kept a tab believe it or not and knew our drinks when we arrived for the childrens disco at seven o clock..Could not praise them enough. kids won all kinds of medals and diplomas , this made thier day/night. They still remember thier names, well so do we. Reception will give you any information you require, and they take the time to advise about all activities around that you may well think of doing, e.g camel rides.. reception told us to take plenty of water and totally cover up, plus towels for the hot staps that are around you when on the camel.. How right he was ,, All in all a brilliant pool, bar, entertainment and lovely genuine people that were proud to be in the sol barbacan.. well done to all of them. I would definately go back without any hesitation, made great friend although most were dutch, but what a laugh and friendly they all are. No problem giving 110% to this accomodation at all...FOUR STARS PLUS ALL DAY/NIGHT LONG, Diane
