I quite agree with last review the apartments are clean and spacious,BUT the apartments start on the first floor so underneath you have at least two chinese restaurants and various other restaurants and bars, so consequently the cooking smells are terrible and your clothes stink of grease/fat etc after 1 day. I was on the second floor so what it must be like on the first god knows, and also I cannot comment on the 3 and 4th floors.But as I said very clean and spacious apartments, the maid even came in on xmas day, Would I go back? No.

Went to Gran Canaria last June, first time staying in Playa del Ingles. Wasnt sure what to expect of the apartments but I can honestly say they were brilliant! For two of us to stay in a 2 bedroom apartment (as they all are) it cost £459 for two weeks. We were so impressed that when returnin in September we opted to stay there again. Heading back again in July and cannot wait. They are very very clean, spacious and not too warm. We hired a fan which we found a big help. They have safes which are located in the reception along with internet access and a phone. You can exchange travellers cheques up to midnight which is good if you realise you need money as you head out at night. The food at the poolside bar is good and reasonably priced. There are also excellent places to eat which surround the apartments. Previous entrys mention the brothel or stripjoint outside the apartments. Yes there is a yellow beatle which advertises it but apart from that you would not notice it. We could see it from our apartment and never saw anyone go in or leave. Dont let that put you off!! Overall the staff are excellent, could not be more pleasant and I will be back as often as possible. Enjoy if you choose to visit them!

We didnt like Gran Canaria very much.The Barbados apts were next door to a brothel which didnt bother us but might bother others.The apts were a long walk from the beach which the kids moaned about.The yumbo centre was great. We think a car was essential.We wouldnt go back to Gran Canaria or the Barbados apts.
