| Visited Barcelona for 4 days...not long enough!!! Stayed at the Hesperia - Carlit which was fantastic!!! Que Que Tapas bar on Passeig de Gracia was extremely good!
No need to hire a car as the cheap local transport covered everywhere. The Metro was particular good. Also used the sightseeing bus and got a two day pass for €17. It was invaluable to get us down to the beaches in the afternoons after mornings sightseeing. Even had a naturist beach!
The Segrada Familia was absolutely mind blowing as is worth a trip to the top to see the architecture. So much to do and so little time!!! Will definately be going back soon to explore more!!
PS Although they understand Spanish it is worth remembering that their first language is Catalan so menus etc are occasionally difficult to understand but many places cater with an English menu.
If you are thinking of going...GO!!!! Barcelona is a big mix on new and old, clean and dirty...there is something for everyone and always something to do and see whether at day or at night!
