The hotel was very good and in an excellent location (right in the middle of the old town within easy walking distance of the Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas). Due to the location it could be quite noisy - while this didn't bother us, it is something to be borne in mind if you have trouble sleeping.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and is served until 11am. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was very comfortable.
In terms of value for money, the weekend rates are excellent but the price climbs steeply in the week which makes it less of a good deal. Nonetheless, we would definitely return if we were to stay in Barcelona again.
