| Belek Travel Guide: Day trips when staying in Belek
| | Written by Karen Forshaw 1 on 08 Jun 2006 about a trip in Mar 2006. Trip was for a group of friends on holiday. Karen Forshaw 1 would definitely visit again.
| Belek day trips | | We went on a few trips organised through Ian (Our rep) - the Turkish bath, peel and foam (£15), Antalya Waterfalls and shopping with lunch (£11) and the Pammukale/ Hieropolis 2 day excursion (£39).
Now, we weren't expecting to do the 2 day trip when we went - after all we were only there for 7 days - however it was a bargain and Ian explained really it is a must do - and now I agree. We also managed to miss 2 nasty days of weather which was also a bonus!
The journey does take about 5 hours to get there but we stopped almost every hour for at least 10-15 minutes each time for a drink/cigarette stop. The views are astounding up there not only of Pammukale but of the surroundings mountains and landscapes - truly wonderful.
The price includes not only the coach fare up, but a guide who talks you through a lot of the journey, lunch on the way there and back, a hotel room in a small village near to Pammukale and also evening meal, thermal spa pools, entertainment and breakfast there. We also took in a visit to a Cotton Factory and a Carpet factory with no hard sell tactics which was fascinating. For £39 it was a true bargain and well worth the visit. As an offer was on (Buy two trips, get one free)we thought our purchases were fantastic and really made our week. |
Belek History and Culture | | | I visited Belek in March 2006 and stayed at Limak Atlantis resort. |
