The best thing about this typically small Greek hotel is the owner Anthea. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She has put her own stamp on the family hotel with colourful rooms and little touches. The bathrooms are a bit tired with short shower curtains but other than this we had no complaints. The breakfasts were very good and bleach was not used sparingly cleaning out the rooms! Value for money, this was great.
This end of Benitses was not the best and some things were closed. You can go into the main part of the old town via the back of the hotel which has stunning mountain views, thus avoiding the ghost town look of the sea front. No buses run to the airport and taxis charge 20 euros each way . The local buses into Corfu town are cheap and quite an experience. Green buses go through to the south of the island otherwise from Corfu town which is lovely.
