We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We had a great time the weather was superb.
We read a lot about the hill in other reviews and were surprised at how pathetic the hill actualy is , it is not even worth going on about, unless you are very old or unfit forget about it. The worst thing is the distance from the hotel to the Marina it takes about 40min to walk to it.
The hotel was very clean and we saw the life guards checking the water every day using test tubes etc. The staff were mostly very friendly and could speak some English.
Every day between 5 and 6 the bars have a happy hour - buy one get one free on local beer and coke etc.
We decided to go to Gibralter and asked the rep how long it would take to get there he told us we would leave at 7.30 am to beat the rush at customs, and would take about 2 hours. It took nearly 4 hours! We had no time to look around as we were booked to go looking for dolphins (did not see any). The rep told us we would have to go to Gibralter to see them as that was where they all lived, spoke to some people who went looking from Benalmadena and had seen dozens. So dont listen to the reps! We found some great bars etc selling food only 15 min walk away. They were down at the prom / beach and sold good food and very large helpings at fair prices the best ones were the Penny Farthing the Last Resort and Shakespears they are all well worth visiting.
The cable car at the theme park is a must the view is amazing and the meals and drinks at the mountain top cafe are fairly cheap.
We would also recomend the theme park but get to it at opening time we were in sharp and managed to get on all the best rides without any waiting, it got very busy about 9.
We would recomend this hotel but it is too far away from the town centre and so we got taxis a few times only 5 euros from hotel to theme park and cable car.

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday at this hotel, it is very clean, rooms are of a good standard. it has 2 excellent pools, one indoor and one outdoor, a gym and sauna/jacuzzi. i went half board, and the food was very good, good selection every night. There is a bar, which has happy hour every night and has good entertainment for children and adults. it is within walking distance of supermarkets, bars/restaurants and the beach, and has an underground car park which you can use for a small fee. I would definatley reccommend this hotel!!!!
