Bitacora Club: GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. by David Hills |
| Posted 24 October 2005 about a visit in November 2005 | Overall rating: 8.3 |
Arrived back today, only booked holiday 36 hours before departure.(self catering) although room allocated was in annex block on ground floor not much natural light in room.the room was very clean and spacious, room cleaned 5 out of the 7 days clean towels on these days.bed linen changed after 3 days. Food in restaurant very restricted not worth the money (8.95 euros for 3 courses) would stay again and recommend to friends, family. Not suitable for persons with walking difficulties due to the steep hill to the apartments.although taxi's very cheap. Plenty of shops and bars along the seafront, a wide selection of restaurants with very reasonable priced meals. For once whilst on beach the toilets were free to use, with free showering facilities.ie handy for showering on last day of holiday if you have late flight home.

Bitacora Club: Cheap and cheerful by Karen Mcalonan |

I have just returned from the Bitacora Club Apartments in Lanzarote.
My friend and I went for a girlie holiday and thats exactly what we got. The room itself was very clean and spacious, we had a one bedroom apartment. The maid service was five times per week, very good. We had cooking facilities, toaster, fridge/freezer, basically all the things youll need.
Both pools were very clean also and the location was very central, so if you wanted to go to the old town then you would turn left when you come out the apartments, if you wanted to go to the new town, you would turn right and both towns were of equal distance from the apartment and not a long walk at all as I have heard in previous reviews, trust me- I'm 22 and we dont like to walk in the heat either!
Also having a supermarket on your doorstep is a bonus too, you just have to cross the road and its there! We preferred the new town as it is more lively and we had an absolutely fantastic holiday, great clubs and pubs. A taxi home at night cost no more than €2,50 which was fab. If you prefer the more scenic and quiet holiday then I would recommend the old town.
We only had breakfast in the hotel once which was a buffet and it was good, however that was the only time as we usually never made it out of bed in time! We thought the apartments were absolutely excellent value for money (cant believe they are only a 2*!) as we got a last minute deal (a great one at that) and will definetely be returning to the same apartments next year.
