Broncemar Beach: WOW by Jon Walls |
| Posted 16 November 2005 about a visit in November 2003 | Overall rating: 8.0 |
We travelled on 5 November 2003. This accomodation one of the best we have stayed in the rooms are spacious the location is excellent, maid service is very reliable, the staff are friendly and the reception is exceptionally helpful and is manned 24/7.
The entertainment provided by your Thomas Cook Reps every night is very good and varied with never a dull moment, the only fault would be that for self catering we found the facilities a little short of expectation (ie you have to hire a kettle or toaster).
The location of the Broncemar Beach is 2nd to none and only 5 minutes from the beach itself, it is a great place for families or couples and is highly recommended

Broncemar Beach: what a fantastic deal!! by Hayley Kenyon |
| Posted 10 January 2005 about a visit in November 2004 | Overall rating: 8.5 |
we stayed at the broncemar for a week on the 15th of december and what can i say! such good value for money we paid £140 each for a week and we thought the accomadation was top class.
The apartment was a really good size the cleaning was a bit to be desired but we was only there for a week so didnt really matter. also could have done with a kettle and a toaster but we very rarely stoped in. The reps were really great especially the entertainment team who kept you entertained while sitting round the pool, the food was reasonable esp the pizza ! yum, over all the holiday was great you couldnt even get a flight for what we paid, if you ever eat out go to fado rock! the best meal ever!

Broncemar Beach: Not what we expected. by Julia Mills |
| Posted 12 September 2004 about a visit in July 2004 | Overall rating: 5.0 |
After reading various reviews before our holiday we expected much better than we actually found. The Broncemar is billed as 3*plus but it was more like 2*plus. Our 1st room was so full of damp that the smell almost knocked you out when you opened the door. We also had more than a few coackroaches throughout the appartment and 2 ants' nests - one by the door and one in the wardrobe. After spending 2 hours trying to negotiate being moved (it was now about 10.00pm), we were finally given another room. The size of the appartments are adequate but I would not describe them as spacious. Towels and sheets are changed once a week if you are lucky, even if you leave them on the floor as requested. We were a family of four but we were only given 3 towels (not particularly clean) and the table in the kitchen area was only big enough for 3 and only had 3 chairs. The sofabeds are really just sofas used as beds and my son who is small for his age (10), only just fitted on the smaller one. They are poorly equipped for self catering but everything you need is available for hire!! The restaurant staff were rude, often removing your plate before you had finished eating , and the food was overcooked and usually cold. This meant we ended up using much of our spending money on a combination of self catering and eating out as we had paid extra for the half board option. Eurospar in the Atlantico Centre is probably the cheapest place to shop for groceries and has a good choice of Spanish and British brands. The pool area was dirty and poorly maintained resulting in 2 children having accidents - one fairly serious. The "top class entertainment" advertised in the brochure turned out to be bingo, name that tune and a poor parrot show that even the parrots didn't want to participate in!
On the plus side, the staff in the on site pub were brilliant and the location of the Broncemar was very good. Good places to eat are Suzi's, Gambrinus, The Piccadillyand Fado Rock. Apparently the Mexican restaurant is one to give a miss as quite a few bad reports. We loved Fuerteventura and enjoyed touring the island by car but if we return, it definately won't be to the Broncemar.

Broncemar Beach: Each to their own!! by Steve Ives |

Its amazing how widely the reviews on 1 place can vary!!!
When we stayed here i thought it was brillinat. definately one of the most spacious appartments we've ever had, cleaned regulary with 2 big balconies. Quite a family orientated resort which wasn't really for us as we haven't got any kids!! However this wasn't a problem, we hired a car and explored the island most of the time, founds loads of beutiful quiet beeches and the roads were nice and quiet.
The kids entertainment proved slightly annoying at the hotel as the reps start practicing for about 2 hours every evening, to be honest though it was more amusing than annoying, listening to them crucifying various 'classic songs'!!!
Plenty of restaurants local to appartments, if you walk a bit further a field you'll find the nicer ones, most of the immediate ones are fast food type places, ie. chinese, indian, mexican etc..., we never ate at the Broncemar restaurant although their bar was nice!
All in all i would recommend this resort to familis or couples looking to explore the island

Broncemar Beach: BRONCEMAR BEACH -CALETA DE FUSTE by Julie Foster |
| Posted 18 August 2004 about a visit in June 2004 | Overall rating: 6.5 |
I love Caleta, went there in Oct 2001 and Oct 2002 and decided it was time to go back and see how it had progressed. Went in a crowd of 6 adults and 4 kids.We were told back then that they had only 2 more years to build. It was lovely before but a bit sparse, but now it is more built up with lots more shops and centres. Very clean. Still building,! especially round near the Elba Sara (As you stand on the beach facing the sea, look over to the right) There were 5 huge digger things working all day, looks as though there gonna be some sort of marina or something. But even still it is a wonderfull place. The beach is really safe for kids. Skuba diving centre, Pedaloes ,Katamaran trips, Sealions, Fish marina along the harbour, Chipmonk mountain etc etc etc...
Broncemar Beach was OK but considering it was only opened about 2 years ago I thought it was a bit tatty. Rooms were not very clean, it took 1 cleaner about 10 minutes to clean our room each time and that was making the bed too, they didnt bother to make the kids sofa beds in the lounge area at all! The towels made me feel sick. they smelt really dirty when you used them as though they hadnt been washed at all just tumble dried about 6 times! There was no 'clean' smell as you went back in the rooms after the cleaners had been in. I dont think the floors were washed at all the whole week we were there. Its a shame because if the cleaning/maintenance standards had been higher from the start, the complex would still look new, but it doesnt. The food was acceptable, plenty of choice. Resturant staff miserable, verging on being rude. Dinner card a bit of a pain, as the kids wanted to sit away from us adults, the staff kept pestering every day about who was with who and where were they sitting, all we wanted to do was eat a hot dinner! Then they come up asking what drinks you want, and what the kids wanted (across the other side of the room!) Then they wanted your card to mark off that you had been in for food and where the kids were sitting (explaining it all again where they were and who was with who......) Public loos not very clean either. Pool tables and games for kids .Overall a good base, 10 mins from shops and beach. I would definitely go back, although its not the best place I've stayed in. OK if you get it at a bargain price like we did, but would have been disappointed if we had paid brochure price. We got a week 14 Jul 2A/2Ch H/B for £1,100. Taxi cost us 8 Euros to resort (10Eu with a tip) and took 15 mins max.

Broncemar Beach: Broncemar Beach by George Wynd |
| Posted 19 March 2004 | Overall rating: 8.5 |
Have just arrived back from one of the best weeks holiday we have had in a long time. The accomodation was very spacious compared to other hotels we have visited and was kept clean by the frequent maid visits. The only real quibble we had was that the food was the usual Spanish hotel food.ie.Pork,Chicken and veal. The prices of food and drink was also a bit on the high side. We asked a rep where they bought their goodies and was pointed in the direction of The Atlantico Centre 2 euros taxi ride) where everything was a great deal cheaper. The staff in the hotel were very freindly and helpful and the reps were first class. All in all we will definitely go back here. (Golfers, there is a great golf course which is 5 minutes away from Caleta De Fuste and costs approx 48 euros for a round).
