Hey all,
Just got back from Playa del Ingles tonight and came across this site. I stayed at the Buenos Aires Aparthotel with my boyfriend for the second time and it was, once again, a big success. The hotel may not be wildly luxurious but compared to most other hotels in Playa del Ingles, it's definitely one of the better in the not-so-expensive category. The pool is truly one of the hotel's best assets as it is both big and well situated (sun all day long) and it's heated during the winter time, making it quite nice to go for a quick dip.
Another good thing about Buenos Aires is the free sat TV, which is pretty uncommon in Playa del Ingles. In many hotels, they either charge you a general fee or even worse you have to 'pay pr view', making it both expensive and inconvenient to catch up with the news or watch a movie or something.
A word of advice though - if you are assigned to apartments 101-105 and 201-205 you will see very little of the sun, so ask the reception for another - we did, and got a great apartment in the middle of the arched building on the second floor with a great view of the pool area and sun from 10 til sunset.
