The location could not be better, almost on the edge of the pedestrian area with all of the shops restaurants and cafes while at the same time being just 2 minutes from the largest beach in the resort. The amenity of these apartments has improved since air conditioning was installed about 8 years ago as it is now possible to shut out the moped noise and also the noise of the bins being emptied at about 4.00 am and still remain cool in bed.
Cala d'or has many good walks as 15 minutes takes you to the beautiful marima with all its boats and stop offs for refreshment. In the other direction you can walk out to the beach of Cala Ferrera and back via Cala Esmarelda. Alternatively you can walk out from the Cala Gran beach on the north side along the waters edge and back through some very nice residential areas or along the south side of the beach to the point dividing the beaches of Cala Gran and Cala d'or where it is possible to sit, if you can find a smooth section of rock, and watch the cruise boats and boats from the marina going in and out.
Cala d'or itself is not the cheapest place for a holiday but the best never is, there is a very good selection of restaurants with all types of menues from most parts of the world and all of the waiters and waitresses that we came across were very child friendly. for those that want to hire a car there are more places to visit than this review will hold and we have travelled th whole island where the locals seem to be very tollerant of tourist drivers as there is hardly ever a horn heard.

We had a nice time the hotel was nice the staff were nice the entertaiment team (mel and andy) worked hard . The food could of been better same food for two weeks!! the hotel is situated in a lovley location 2mins from the beach, there is a lot of steps in the hotel so not suitable for people with walking difficulties we found it hard going with the pushchair the resort itself was expensive so take plenty of spending money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but although it doesnt sound like it we really had a good time and would probably go back there if we found a deal on the internet . x

Stayed for a week at the beginning of June. Accommodation was excellent. Location great, apart from the road alongside which was quite noisy with all the lawnmower mopeds roaring along it most of the time. Plenty of restaurants etc. close by. Stayed self catering and ate out all the time. Found some superb entertainment in Rick & Simon, two great singers from England. One day they'll be big! Would definitely recommend the resort and the hotel. Will definitely go back in the future.
