caserio azul is nice place, quite quiet as there is no pool bar etc. pool is not huge but good size. security man 'paco' is nice if you are nice to him but for the first few nights he was rather nasty towards us, we were threatened with the police being called just for walking around and not being in our rooms after midnight.. but once we started speaking 2 him he was ok with us. rooms are quite a good size, balcony is nice, beware of plugs as they may be hanging out of the wall (all of ours were) but it didnt spoil the holiday! it is across the road from a nightclub that is open till 6am but we were in the room right on the end next to the nightclub and even with the window open it was not noisy, good location in terms of walking distance to everything, shops restaurants and main bars and clubs. Appears to be a family hotel, don't get many young people in it despite the loacation but the young people seem to get put on the lower floors, the families on the higher so you wont have to worry about a group of young people being next dorr and keeping you awake. you will have a good time here

This was the first of our holidays in Playa del Ingles and was accomadation allocated on arrival.We were not disappointed .The Caserio Azul does not seem to feature in many brochures for some reason.
The Apartments are situated at the far end of town , opposite the Caserio Hotel.They are very clean and well equipped for self -catering.There are approx 36 apartments in this block on 6 floors all accesible via a small lift, paved patio area around an L shaped swimming pool which is kept clean and tidy and being a small complex does not get too crowded with plenty of sunbeds etc. to go around. A Spar supermarket is opposite the main entrance and another one about 150yards up the road making it ideal for day to day requisites.From the main entrance turn right and right again and you are in front of the Tropical centre, a few small shops and behind them (on the seafront) what has to be one of the best places to eat in Gran Canaria.The food here is excellent and good value.
Well recommended apartments to base your holiday from with the Kasbah centre being about 15mins stroll away and a small beach area about 10 mins.Would certainly go to these apartments again.
