Location: On top of Cardiac Hill. About 25min walk to bottom and resort centre. Taxi back. Not recommended for those with walking difficulties. Supermarket located at back street.
Reception: Staff not very friendly or helpful. Need to show your passport each time you change money.
Apartment: We stayed in 328 which was very nice but overlooked the duel carriageway. The noise kept us awake at night and the rubbish was collected at 4am, again this was right under our window. Eventhough we could have changed apartments the reception manager made sure we were shown the worst two apartments on the complex. The apartments are very roomy and come complete with microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board.
Service: We had to ask twice when our rooms would be serviced and then it was done they only changed the linen on one bed. When we queried this we were asked if we were sure! The shower curtain came down and we were told to use our towels to mop the floor and then collect clean ones from reception. The next day the reception manager refused us clean towels. She eventually gave in when we insisted.
Pool area very clean. Sunbeds and brollies €2 each per day.
Los Cristianos: Lovely place. Friendly people lots of good restaurants. Pailbot restaurant still offers the best food and best service I've ever had. Churchills and Dreamers still offering top entertainment and drinks you can trust.
Weather: Great. 23C at midnight.
Overall: Will give Castle Harbour a wide berth when we go back. May is still a good time to go as less people around and you get the best service wherever you go.
