Club Hotel Aguamarina: Another brill holiday by new visitor |
| Posted 28 August 2006 about a visit in July 2006 | Overall rating: 9.7 |
Just had another brill holiday at Aguamarina, have already booked again for 2007!!! The hotel is clean and well kept and in a lovely position right on the beach. Stayed in block b and rooms can get a little too warm sometimes but not in long enough to notice as there is so much to do. Entertainment team very good gave our 15 year old son and all the friends he made a fabulous holiday. Food in the hotel was good plenty of choice each night and morning. Pools and surrounding areas well kept and very clean. Evening entertainment good / very good some of the tribute bands well worth watching. Well done all the staff at Aguamarina see you all next year.

Just come back from a fantastic holiday at the Aguamarina. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The staff are friendly, the food is great and there is plenty of choice: Something for everyone. We stayed there five years ago and the hotel has been extensively upgraded since then. We booked a sea view room as the view is awesome and certainly worth paying extra for. Our two children 13 and 9 had an excellent holiday and we would certainly not hesitate in recommending this hotel to our friends.

the hotel is really nice, with 2 pools overlooking a really pretty bay.theres not much to do in the resort theres only a couple of bars and shops, not a lively place at all, the hotel is really lively though, theres a brilliant entertainment team who do loadsa games in the day and they do the shows on the night,i think they made my holiday cos id have been really bored without them, im 18 and theres nothing much else to do ! stayed in touch with victor and even been to stay with his family in spain! the hotel is gonna be quite quiet now though cos the entertainment team all quit so they wont be there next year!

| We booked our family holiday at the last minute really on the tv, we got a really good deal but anchious what it would be like, there were four of us inc my daughter 2y, and my son 3y, it was a good flight, and the transfer time was only about 45mins just long enough to give an idea of the surroundings, the check in was good fast and effecient and we got a warm welcome, and conciderate that we were late to eat but they would allow us extra time to come to the restaurant even though they were finished serving and feed us!! the room was not oversized, but clean and compact, we hired a fridge and safety dep box, which were needed! the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard and bedding and towels changed more or less everyday, the view from the balcony was sceinic but not one of the best views! from the otherside of the hotel the view was amazing, the sea just a throw from the hotel, the hotel was split into two buildings, both had seperate amenities and one had the restaurant, one had the indoor entertainment club, there was also a hairdressers, although i failed to see it open.
The food i had no bad comments whatsoever and the staff tried their utmost to make your stay a comfortable one, the food was plenty various dishes and always plenty to choose from regardless of taste or preference, they were very professional in all aspects of the restaurant, and made very good friends with staff who managed to teach my daughter a few greeting words!
The grounds were fantastic, colourful and clean, and the views across the bay were picturesque, there was a playarea for the children, sand pit, two swimming pools, with kiddies sections and lifeguards, which was impressive, there was outdoor entertainment by the local reps, they tried hard and did a good job! but most nights for the kids were like 'groundhog' day! some of the acts we saw were brilliant performers, the grounds held lots of ameinities and the reps tried to involve all ages, volleyball, crazy golf, and other light hearted fun games for all during the day, there was even a quiet picnic area set at the back of the hotel which overlooked most of the grounds finished off with a backdrop of the clear blue sea from the back of the hotel,
The beach was a walk to the back of the hotel then down the safe winding pathway, just a few mtrs, or the hotel lift would take you to the basement and lead you to the pathway down, was lovely, nice and clean and lots of room the tiny fish swam around your feet, the brochure said 'free sunbeds' but when we got down there quick as a flash from nowhere, we was asked for 15 euros for 2beds!! we found out that you were allowed to carry the beds down from the hotel, hence 'free', we didnt bother with them after that! we sat in the sand with the kids! you could also hire pedlos (cheaper than sunbeds!)
the ice cream kiosk and veranda to the beach was closed, the hotel, wasnt fully opened i felt, (it was begining of may),
Tours were available bye the reps at a phenominal rate, and was cheaper to hire a car and take off to your own choices of hotspots and there were many, the roads were quiet and easy to follow, and to hire a car was so cheap, they even included car seats for the children, there was a bus stop outside the hotel which took you to Mahon everyday and was quite frequent, the main market in Mahon was twice a week. There are some lovely walking routes in Arenal Den Castell, but there is also a train that stops outside the hotel and runs around the island stopping and you can get off and on when ever you feel for one price which is quite good.
They had a hire facility of kettles, toasters etc, it was the reps who sorted this from the hotel foyer, the guy called most evenings dropping items off and collecting, but its all at a price!,
All in all we had a very relaxing two weeks, at least we had the choice if we wanted it! and the children loved it.

Club Hotel Aguamarina: air conditioning |
| 07 Sep 2007 by Jacqueline Adams |
I have just booked for next year through direct holidays for 2 adults 1 child and an infant. The brochure does not specify if the rooms are air conditioned but I have assumed that they are. According to the hotel online, only superior rooms are air-con. we are booked fo a twin room. Can anyone tell me if the twin rooms are air-conditioned. >> Answer this question | |
