On the sixth night of our holiday our apartment was burgled.This was despite the fact that the door was double locked and the room left secure.The thief had a key!!!!! On the same evening several other apartments suffered the same fate.We lost several hundred pounds worth of items,but as there was no forced entry our insurance will not compensate us.This ruined our holiday.There is a TOTAL lack of security .BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!This seems to happen frequently.

Situated on a hillside overlooking Santa Ponsa bay, the club Santa Ponsa does represent excellent value for money, but the location of this apartment complex makes it totally unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Initially we had trouble finding the place, as the rather surly taxi driver didnt know of it, and wasnt too keen on trying to find it either!
The apartment was really spacious. I had booked a one bedroom, and it was on two floors. It was clean and adequately furnished. No air con, but ceiling fans.
The down side of the apartment was that it was situated at the lower floor level of the complex, and was fifty steps up to the dining room, bar and swimming pool. I sort of got the feeling that, as in other places I have stayed where the clients are mainly German, that they actually end up with the better situated apartments, which is fair enough in some respects as they bring a lot more revenue into the complex than the British, who are definitely in the minority. The food as well was geared more toward German clients, but was perfectly acceptable, and plentiful.
The bar staff were a little gruff, but there will always be all inclusive patrons who really, shall we say, make the most of the all inclusive facilities, ordering 4 drinks each at a time, and making the work of the staff very difficult. The bar area is quite pretty, with outside seating overlooking the pool and the bay beyond.
The entertainment is dire. Obviously the budget is completely blown by providing all drinks and food in the cost, and there must be nothing left in the kitty for keeping the clients entertained, but then why should they lay on anything, they pretty much have a captive audience made up of people who refuse to leave the complex knowing the drinks are all paid for.
The walk down to Santa Ponsa isnt far at all, but is all downhill, and feels like quite a trek coming back. There is a courtesy bus laid on a few times a day, but we didnt make use of it ourselves.
The amount that we paid for our trip was very reasonable, and given that it was so cheap we have no complaints at all
