Having read numerous reviews about club soviva I was a little apprehensive about the hotel.But we had two good weeks'The staff on all levels were very helpful and obliging.The first week the food was not very appetising but the second week it improved greatly.The only bad point for me was where it was situated. Alittle way out of the town. But that was not a major upset.
Ladies on their own we found it a nuisence being propositioned on a daily basis by the waiters and one of them after being rebuked was nasty to us throuhout the whole holiday. And he was one of the head waiters. If I do go back I will definetly dye my hair black.
For the money we spent on the hotel it was value for money.And I would not agree with all the negative reports that I read prior to going.

After first visiting the Club Soviva in 2000 and yearly since (sometimes twice a year) I would have to say give it a go! I've never met such friendly people both in the resort and the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I find it upsetting to see all the bad reports for this hotel, where we've made some good friends. Tunisia doesn't suit everyone but remember it's still developing it's tourism trade. Go with a sense of humour and fun can be found anywhere.

having just spent our first ever holiday in Tunisia, and having read the comments of others it was with great trepidation that we arrived, however, we had an absolutely smashing time there.
We did not find that any of the staff treated us as 2nd class citizens, and we were ALL INCLUSIVE. The staff were friendly and ready to join in the fun though we probably have a strange sense of humour to them.
The hotel was in a perpetual state of cleaning and the toilets were always spotless. Our rooms were basic but clean bright and airy and the heating worked if the nights were too cold. We found the food perfectly acceptable with many choices available including at least four types of cooked meats and salads and vegetarian selections, soups, ommelettes, pancakes, pate, various breads, the sweets were too many to mention, service of drinks to the dining table was some times a litttle slow but the room was always full so you just took your turn.
Snacks were available constantly, the drinks had the desired affect and were not rationed other than allowances of 2 drinks per person per time but no restrictions of how many times you went up.
The pool water was cold the slides were open the poolside area was kept clean and tidy and we didn't have to pay for sunbeds or mattresses!!
The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but all in all a darn good holiday, I seriously think some people can't be pleased, if you go expecting it to be like Spain then yes you will be disapointed ,Tunisia is a developing country but it is learning and learning fast.Our holiday was from the 10th Nov 02 for one week, oh and we came back with a lovely tan !! can't be bad.
