Compostela Beach Resort III: Great Resort but... by R&I Hunter |
| Posted 20 April 2006 about a visit in October 2004 | Overall rating: 8.3 |
Stayed here for a week in late Oct./earlyNov. 2004.
The apartment we were put in was absolutely huge and would have been better suited for a family rather than a middle aged couple. Another problem was the balconey was level with the perimeter road and a walkway to other apartments so afforded very little privacy and only got the sun late in the day. We asked to be moved and although they insisted there was no other apartments available, when the Holiday Rep. got involved they somehow managed to find somewhere else. (Well done First Choice.) What a difference, the apartment overlooked the golf course and being south facing got the sun all day.
The apartments were spotlessly clean with linen and towels changed regularly and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was a proper kitchen (not just a cooking area stuck on the end of the living room) and was very well equiped.
The pool area was large and seemed to be popular and although we didn't use it there seemed to be enough sun-beds etc. to go round. The entertainment was quite good with kids in particular being well looked after and bar prices were reasonable. We were half board and could not fault the food, with an ample selection at both breakfast and dinner.
The downside for us was the location. Although set in beautiful surroundings in the middle of a golf course, it was a bit out of the way for the busier parts of las Americas and los Christianos. Although there was a pleasant walk into the centre of town (15/20mins.) it got a bit much two or three times a day. Alternatively there were taxis available at all times at reasonable prices.
In summing up, if you don't have a problem with the location this is a great holiday resort for families, couples and groups.

Compostela Beach Resort III: An excellent apartment by Yvonne Boreham |

We had no idea what we would find and were really pleasantly surprised. The apartments were large clean and well furnished. The entertainment which after the first night i usually give a miss was good. The pool large and well heated and the staff really helpful. The only downside was the good twenty minutes walk to get to the sea front. It was however a pleasant walk which could be done through a park. The rates for the apartments were also very reasonable

Compostela Beach Resort III: Great by Derek Graham |

Was at this hotel from 5th-19th Sept this year. Room was massive and spotless clean. Meals were good as was evening entertainment especially the bingo which we won 3 times!!! Good pools but very slippery when walking round pool area as my a*se will verify. Beer prices were reasonable E2.35 for a pint. Hotel a little bit out of way but taxis were quite cheap. Going back to Tenerife on 9th Jan, unfortunately not to this hotel, but i will definately be back.

Compostela Beach Resort III: Pam Brown by Pam Brown |

Went to compostela Beach Golf 111. Flew out on the 12th Sept 03 for a week with the family. Did not know what to expect as only booked it a week before. What a great suprise. The appartments were spotless and kept that way by the cleaners everyday. Towel changes nearly everyday. The size of the apartment was unbeliveable it was hugh and the beds were enormous. The pool area was great and the pools were ideal for the 2 children as were only about 4ft deep the only problem was that round the pool area was very slippery and everybody was fauling over and it does nuff hurt and was quite dangerous for the babies. If they would only coat them in none slip paint the problem wold have been solved. We went self catering and walked into town every morning to have breakfast it was quite a walk but a nice one. If you did not want to walk the Taxi's were just outside and there was always pleanty there. Apart from the pool area I could not say a bad word about the appartment block and surrounding area. We had an enormous balcony and the look out over the golf course was superb. It was fantastic and we all enjoyed ourselves. Would definately go back there have never had an appartment that size in all the travelling I have done. and never had a cockroach in the appartment over the 7 days.

Compostela Beach Resort III: lovely hotel!! by Lindsey Mitchell |
| Posted 13 July 2003 | Overall rating: 9.0 |
This is the best hotel i hav been 2!! the rooms are 2floors with a spral staircase! has 4 beds 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a small lounge area with a tv and sofa. They are also air conditioned and very clean!
The pool is big and spacious with lots of sunbeds. There is day time entertainment which the daytime rep people provide, 1 of which is very good looking and from essex! hes nice!! hehe and very good in the cabaret intertainment in the evening which is worth watching!
Day time to do things that i recommend is the free bird boat trip where u get 2 c dolphins and whales and u can also have a swim in the sea!! its xlnt!! also the aqua park is an xlnt way to have fun and keep cool!
In the evening i would recommend staying at the hotel for the cabaret and parrot show, but going to veroncas is a must! this is a strip of bars and nite clubs! but watch out for people trying to persuade u into their bars as it can get annoying, and those selling squeaky toys and flowers! just walk pass an ignore them or just say no!
A truly amazeing holiday! and an excellent hotel to stay in!!! for more info just email me x
