The above is their slogon, but read for the reality.

We had booked this hotel for the Iron Maiden gig at Twickenham. Upon arrivel there was a huge mix up no double rooms ready. After waiting around with many other guests waiting for double rooms (which was gone 4pm) we were told no double rooms were available and only twin. Not only did this inconvenience ourselves and many others waiting around but there was no gesture of 'good will' due to their mistake.

The reception were even cheeky to ask for £50 in cash as the card machine wasnt working as a guarentee for any room breakages. Luckily common sense overcome them.

We accepted the twin room which itself was ok, but pushing there was not enough room for pushing the two beds together.

Their service stinks and is and the staff are completely incompetent.

Probably

The accommodation on the whole was good although a certain section of the corridor leading to out room had extremely squeeky floorboards which had I have been allocated a room along this section I'd have been very unhappy about.

Car parking facilities also need to be slightly improved upon. I don't mind paying a price for parking as I understand this is the situation in London however the only parking space available on arrival was near to the refuse bins which we were uncomfortable about and it seemed that some people would park their car anywhere regardless of whether they were blocking people in. The hotels way to overcome this situation is for the customer to leave their car keys with them so that they can move the vehicles if need be. I did not leave mine as a) how does that work for insurance purposes b) If the car had been damaged by a member of staff moving it how could this be proved and c) I'm personally not happy with leaving my keys with someone that I don't know!!

Didn't get my requested wakeup call which I'd booked with the late receptionist/night porter. When I questioned this in the morning the receptionist put it plainly that she didn't do it because it wasn't down on the sheet and I felt that the problem made to be my fault. When we also asked if there was anywhere nearby we could visit on the Sunday as our purpose was to go to watch the rugby in Twickenham which wasn't starting until 3.00pm she wasn't exactly forthcoming advising us that, to quote, "it was @!*$ around the area as there was nothing to do"!! which I was slightly taken back upon. Coming from the hospitality industry myself I felt that the facilities were fit for the purpose, the restaurant was excellent and well presented but front of house let the operation down slightly.

Easily accessible though and ideally located for what we needed.

Breakfast was excellent with a good choice available.

Hope this helps - any acknowledgment of this feedback would be much appreciated.

Kind regards
