| We visited these apartments and could find no fault with them. My children 11,12,13 were in the kids club escape and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. They went on various trips WaterWorld, Portavenura the trips to Santa Susanna for the Staff Cabaret night. Kids want to go back this year, but we are booked up for Turkey. The staff were all really friendly and nothing was too much for them. Would recomend this to anyone old or young. The lockers that are provided for you to put your luggage in on the last day take 2 euro coins and can be costly because you have to use one everytime you open them, we found that if you use british 2p pieces these work as well so make sure that you have a few 2p's with you.

Costa Encantada: If you have children brings lots of euros by Brendan Mcnally |

We stayed here (2 adults, 3 children, 16,13,9 ) for 2 weeks at end of July 2002. This place is very well designed. Pool is enormous but quite crowded. We were allocated an apartment at back of complex as were loads of other families, didn't realise that it cost a lot more to have a room with a pool view. We had one bedroom apartment sleeping 5, just about adequate. There were lots of activities advertised but these did not always take place. Airtours reps seem to run the entire complex, they even provide the evening entertaiment which gets very repetitive after a few days. Professional shows are promised but only saw 3 in the entire 2 weeks. The resident band (Freak out) were a joke. Our family spent most of time laughing at them rather than listening to them. Everything here seems to be based around money. Extra for a pool view, air conditioning, check out at 10am, another 55 euros. Childrens activities, pool competition bring your 2 euro, chocolate challenge bring 3 euro. Bingo or quiz was free, but you paid 1 euro for a pen. 2 euro for airtours lotto ( big profit for reps ). Reps CD another 15 euro. We stayed at the Fuengirola beach apts last year and all these facilities were included in the price. Our biggest highlight was the trip to Barcelona Stadium and the fountains. Even we were lucky here because we know people went one week later and only got half the tour due to a Jehovah's witness conference in the Nou Camp. This to me seems like a cheapskate aparthotel using airtours reps to entertain and fleece as many families as possible. Needless to say we will not return here again unless we had a pool view, no more hidden expenses and one week would probably be long enough!!

Costa Encantada: Common by Steve Clarke 4 |

Not very impressed with this place. Can't complain about the price but the old adage of only getting what you pay for holds true. Very basic accomodation. Had to change apartments at 3am on first night as no hot water. Pool bar never open. "Gym" was pathetic.
Reps were helpfull but there is only so much you can take of whining nasally Mancunian accents. The so called "entertainment" put on by the reps was absolutely appalling. For God's sake, bingo is the last thing you want on holiday. They should be encouraging local culture instead of common old biddy pursuits.
Was not holiday hell but God help us all if heaven is full of Mancunians.
