Visit again?
Probably

We visited towards the end of September and were really suprised at how lovely the hotel was as we had read some poor reviews on other web sites.

The entrance lobby was very spacious , open upto the first floor landing, with lots of overhanging plants and there were a few shops ,a television lounge, lovely seating area and a few computers for internet access.

The pool was a very unusual curved shape with an outdoor swim up bar and a couple of bridges spanning across. These led to the gardens where there were areas set out for beach volley ball and other such sports. There were lots of sunbeds here if you wished to sit under the trees instead of round the pool. Also in the gardens was a large pirate ship which was a wonderful climbing frame/ activity centre for the children. The path through the garden led directly into the main street of Coral Bay, to the left, with numerous bars, gift shops and supermarkets. To the right of the gate and down the hill about a 10 minute walk was the beach.

We found our room to be kept nice and clean , although on some days it was late into the afternoon before the maid came, but the hotel was very busy with guests. Our room overlooked the pool so had a marvelous view over the bay and we watched some wonderful sunsets.

The restaurant was spacious and not overcrowded and you could also eat outside on the terrace. We found the food to be varied and well cooked although we did hear some people complaining.

There was some evening entertainment as such, bingo one evening, another night some dancers and there were quizes and other things for guest participation. Very laid back but to be taken in the spirit it was meant.

The hotel also had an indoor pool , fitness centre and a hair/beauty salon at reasonable prices.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would go back again.

Visit again?
Definitely

My husband, two friends and I visited this hotel in January 2006. we booked with Thomson holidays on a half-board basis, the gentleman on reception when we arrived gave us details of how to upgrade to all-inclusive for about £8 per person per day, we all agreed this was a bargain and did so. This meant all our food, snacks and drinks were now included.

When we visted the hotel it was very quiet as obviously low season - I imagine that the restaurant area could be very busy in peak season. The food for breakfast was basically the same everyday with choices of fruit, cereal, cooked, yoghurt etc. Lunch was served in the cafe next to the main dining hall and dinner was themed every night, some weird concoctions but on the whole there was always something there for everybody.

The hotel was absolutely fabulous, our rooms was cleaned everyday and it was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and the facilities could not be faulted, the indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were great and the beauty salon offered many treatments.

We were within a 5 minute walk of the beach (down the hill) and the main area (up the hill) the main area had plenty of bars, showing football, ice-cream parlours, shops and supermarkets.

We hired a car and drove up into the mountains, it was quite scary as they don't seem to have sides to their roads and lots of cliff falls but the scenery was fantastic. Just a reminder - don't cross the border into the turkish side - we almost did and we also past the EU headquarters were the soldiers stand outside with guns, quite scary again.

I would highly recommend this hotel and the resort and will be looking at going back in the not too distant future.

No the shops are ithin walking distance through the hotel gardens and out a gate and is mainly flat. I would avoid going down into Coral Bay Beach as it is a steep hill down and back. The hotel is lovely and I would recommend hiring a car so you can explore the island as there are only about 30 - 40 shops and restaurants (all selling the same). Have a great time I'm sure you will enjoy it.
