Delfin Azul: Perfect Family Holiday by Paul Alcock |
| Posted 30 October 2006 about a visit in October 2006 | Overall rating: 9.6 |
The Family arrived for a weeks holiday on the 22nd of October on arrival to the hotel by coach we went to the reception desk and were allocated two rooms overlooking the pool and advised of meal times and facilities in the hotel including the safe and price for the week.
On going into the rooms we found them very clean and air conditioned.
the location to the beach was very near and plenty of shops and cafe around the location good shopping center withing 10 minutes walk (slow).
when going to the restaurant the head Waiter allocate the table for your group so there is no waiting for a table to be vacant as in other hotels that we have been to were there has been two people sitting on a table for six this seemed to make the dining for breakfast and dinner a lot more enjoyable.
we found that the food was in plenty and also had a selection of food for kids.
The excretions from the hotel were very good and value for money, as a family of 6 varying from 46 with the youngest of 3 they had catered for all, the trips that we went on were the wild Western water park, marine land and taste of Palma.
We found that the staff, Thompson reps and entertainment were excellent they were very helpful and cautious.
in our opinion if you pick the Delfin Azul for your hotel you cant go far wrong as we would all definitely return to this hotel.

the rooms were a bit on the small side all though very clean. there weren t any facilities in the room to make a drink or baby bottle by luck we took a travel kettle with us.the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. entertainment was also very good.My daughter has a severe nut allergy so i was extremely worried about the food but the head waiter was very helpful even cooking her chicken especially for her one night. the hotel has trampolines and a bouncy castle there but there is a charge i felt that this was a bit off has we had paid alot for the holiday and felt that the kids things like this within the hotel should have been free of charge. our hotel overhaul i feel was very good

Delfin Azul: bad service hotel by Matthew Morrison |
| Posted 19 August 2006 about a visit in July 2006 | Overall rating: 4.3 |
We booked our holiday with thompson and upon arrival, with two other families, were told there were no rooms ready. The hotel staff did not have the rooms cleaned even though they where vacant. They asked us to go to another hotel in tha same resort although nobody from the hotel or travel company could show us they way. Not very good when you arrive at one thirty in the moring and have a seven year old with you. We instisted on having our room and we, after nearly a hour of heated discussion, managed to obtain the keys to our room with fresh sheets. We made our own bed and where all ready to complain in the morning.
The morning came and the manager and thompson rep, who we found out stayed on site and possibly could have helped us, just really didnt care and where not sypathetic in anyway. We were fobbed off with three drinks vouchers.
The food in the hotel is buffet style and very basic. There are little or no healthy options and all is ok if your kids like chips - ours isnt a big fan.
On the positive side the entertainment is very good indeed, the bar staff helpful and polite.
We also had air conditioning problems with our first room and after complianing five time over four days, each of which were logged in some 'important' book I insisted on a room change. The second room had a problem the the sliding door, which meant the air conditining would not stay on unless the door was held closed. No action again from the hotel so a chair did the trick!
On the whole very poor maintainance of the rooms although clean and staff to cringe for.

Delfin Azul: lovely hotel by Pamela Ingram |
| Posted 29 June 2006 about a visit in May 2006 | Overall rating: 7.6 |
We stayed at delfin azul for 1 week in may 2006. We had our room overlooking the pool and there was air conditioning which was great it was 100 degrees. We had beds and towels changed every day. Staff were very friendly nothing was to much trouble.
Food was ok plenty of variety and the kids had there own section which my daughter enjoyed.
Plenty of activities for kids around the pool and water polo for adults. Drinks were expensive.
The hotel was very clean and in an ideal location for the beach.
We had a lovely time here and would recommend this hotel to others. It is a hotel for families so if you want it quiet do not come here.

Delfin Azul: VERY GOOD by Keri Burridge |
| Posted 21 July 2005 about a visit in June 2004 | |
Visited this hotel in July 2004 booked through Thomsons, good choice. I went with my family so we had small children with us and the hotel was great for them. There was kids clubs on all day, they had pony rides one day at the pool, water polo etc, there was always something for them to do. NIghtly entertainment was also great, could not fault it at all.
Hotels food was very good, there was a theme on one day of each week, it was chinese when we were there and the whole resturant was decked out in banners and dragons etc There was plenty of variety for adults and children.
Location was superb, right near the beach, the beach is fantastic, you can walk for miles before it starts getting deep, which is great for the children and we were just around the corner from all the nightlife We spent most of our nights in Cheers with the Children, it was good entertainment in there for them.
All in all a great holiday

Delfin Azul: Room facilities |
| 23 Jun 2007 by David Welsh |
Hi there,
Is there a chest of drawers in the room for our clothes? Or is it just a wardrobe?
Also, is there a hairdryer?
We leave on the 9th July so would appreciate a speedy reply please.
Thanks
David >> Answer this question | | | | >> | Answer 1 by Jane Lewis (24 Jun)
hi rooms have a chest of draws as well as draws in the wardrobes. rooms do not have hairdryers. we used the chest of draws as an ironing table only to find out a few days before we left that the hotel have an ironing board you can borrow, remember to take travel iron with you though. have a great holiday
