Just returned from a two week holiday at this hotel. There are two options Half Board or Self catering, I stayed in the self catering apartments, there were two adults and two children and we had plenty space and storage. The hotel was lovely and location was excellent, a 15 walk to Portaventura or 10 min to Salou centre/beach. The only negative comment about the hotel was more to do with guests (only British guests) a queue formed at reception from 8am until the pool doors opened at 9am then there was a mad rush to book sunbeds, if you didn't join the queue there was no way you were getting a bed. i raised this problem with reception as they have a notice stating no reserving beds but they said they had no way of policing this and after deciding to queue one morning I knew what they meant. The main problem was people reserving beds for small children and also people reserving beds and not using them til late in the afternoon. Apart from that small problem the I couldn't fault this aparthotel
One final comment, we had to vacate at 10am but our flight was not until 6am the following day, the hotel had no rooms available so we tried a few others, we went to the Belvedere and explained that we were looking for a courtesey room for 17 hours and thry gave us a room for 55 euros, this was brilliant as it meant we could relax and enjoy our last day.

i really enjoyed the food it was out of this world and my 8 year old son at the time thaught that it was great the rooms were a bit small but who stays in a room when there on holiday unless they have a hangover!! we went on a jeep safari which was fun but the food was not to good so take something to eat. we really did have a good time and the staff at the hotel were very well mannered over all the best hotel ive been in as yet

Just arrived home to-day the 12th Sept.
The Dorado Palace is a Excellent Hotel.It is very clean,we had our towels changed every day and beds changed 3 times in 2 weeks.The staff are very friendly.The Resturant and food was Good.The dress code is not to bad for a 4 star Hotel.I wore 3/4 legnth trousers at dinner with a polo shirt.Breakfast you can wear shorts but must still wear a tee shirt.NO Vests allowed.
We went to the rooftop pool and jacuzzi most days as it is over 18's only.You get a pass key card from recieption each day after 10am to let you get to the pool on the roof.
Hotel is situated up a very slight and short hill and 10 mins from beach and town centre.Nearest supermarket is 5 mins away.Port Aventura is 15/20 mins walk away.Well worth a visit.Paradise for kids.The only Bad thing I would say about the Hotel was the Entertainment was Poor.I certainly would stay in this Hotel again.
