My wife & i have stayed here three times, twice so far at Christmas 2007 & 2008 we also came back in March 2009 & are due to stay again this Christmas 2009.
All we can say is the rooms are huge the weather is great & no problems finding a place to eat as there are many within half a Kilometre radius. We stayed self catering so cannot comment on the food side at the hotel but as previously stated this is a aparthotel so there is no entertainment within the hotel except for the swimming pool so kids might get a bit bored. Reception staff are wonderful & all speak perfect English indeed many languages. Towels are changed every 2 days & sheets every 4 days.
Other than road noise which is not to bad from the road right outside hotel when your windows are shut you can always rely on getting a good nights sleep, no noise even at Christmas! Across the road if you have seen any photos of the hotel there is a square pier that goes out into the sea you can sit in the small cafe bar on the front of the pier & have a lovely cool drink & something to eat if you wish (the sardines are great). There is a supermarket to the left of the hotel about 50 metres away which has everything you would need food wise.
The hotel is on the border of Plays de la Arena & Puerto Santiago & beyond this is Los Gigantes 10 minute walk (1 1/2 Kilometres) but you can get a taxi here or go anywhere you like within a 5 Kilometre radius for 3 Euros. A bus stop is right outside the hotel which goes many places on the island & runs every 20 minutes.
We both have been on many lovely walks from the hotel & you can either choose to go on a flatter walk which means you turn left out of the hotel or steep up & down walks towards Los Gigantes which is to the right of the hotel. The area itself is fairly quiet,easy going no problem with late night clubbers & a few nice pubs including the Blarney Stone.
All in all if you are looking for a laid back place to stay with loveley walks & a hotel at a reasonable price then give this one a go.

We booked this very last minute (one week before flying!) in late February hoping to catch a bit of sun before things got too busy. The hotel (or aparthotel as it was called) was therefore very quiet with few guests. However, it was still adequately staffed; there was always a helpful person at the front desk and between them the staff seemed to speak Spanish, English, French and German very well. The hotel restaurant seemed shut in the evenings but this was no problem as there were plenty of places to eat and also a supermarket just up the road.
Our room had a lovely sea view and was clean and tidy, being serviced every day. The cooking facilities were basic (a few pots and pans, a two ring stove and a microwave, plus a fridge) but plenty to be getting on with for a holiday. The pool was small but nice, with a little poolside bar serving a limited but adequate array of snacks. I don't know what the place would be like in peak times - very busy and much noisier I imagine - but for a cheap get-away in the quieter months it was great and we could find no fault with it.

Good sized apartments and balcony.If traffic noise bothers you, ask for rooms on the pools side, but, then you'll miss out on the excellent sea view. Rooms well serviced daily. No car park, but, found not to be a problem, as plenty of spaces on the Avenue. would recommend. Has lifts.
