| Dubai Review: Oasis beach hotel | | Written by Dottie on 20 Sep 2003
| | We stayed in Dubai in January 2003, a three day stop over after being in Mauritius for 11 nights. The hotel Oasis beach is lovely, a 4 star hotel with lovely rooms. We had booked a land room but there is a lot of developement going on opposite the hotel and it got a little noisy, so we paid an extra £25 for the three nights and got the top floor seaview, absolutely out of this world. The food in the Oasis has to be one of the best i have tasted, and the choice with a meal plan you can eat all different foods in different resturants, one included drinking as much as you wanted, by the end of the night we were on doubles!! The people are very clean and prestige, their culture should be obeyed and ladies are advised to wear tops with sleeves and long shorts, same applies to men, obviously when you are in and around the beach/pool swimming attire is ok, just walking out in the streets is being respectful. There is so many places to visit , my favourite was the gold souk, could have spent no end there, the spice souk is also. I strongly recommend that you take the Big Red Bus tour and see Dubai, the Creek and other interesting places. I for certain will return to a lovely safe country, it is totally amazing. |
