| Dubai is a country rich in oil, and its wealth is shown in the infrastructure - the roads are wide smooth and very clean - no litter anywhere along the road side.
Dubai City is something else - the shopping malls are again clean and presented to a very high standard, with air conditioning that is excellent.
The souks - Gold - Spice - Food - Fish - etc., are a joy to behold. The City elders have managed to maintain the old charm whilst encompassing the modern way of life and it does not clash in anyway.
Service in cafes etc is excellent with fast and efficient waiters attentive to your every whim, again very very clean and of the highest standard.
My only doubt about Dubai as a tourist would be the heat, it is a constant 40 plus every day and for those who find heat a problem such as the elderly and very young - babes in arms could be a problem. |
