The El Greco is ideally situated on the beach. Rooms are big enough and the food is good. Not been there since renovated but even before it was clean and comfortable.
The water park on site is really good. Plenty of sunbeds, but to get prime position you need to queue, no great hassle as it opens late morning and the queues are generally small. There is a bar in the waterpark so Ice creams and drinks are readily available.
The pool area gets packed early on so never bothered with this. This beach is soft sand and water is clear. Take some bread from breakfast and feed the fish. Just wade in to waist height and within minutes fish will swarm around you feeding off the bread, great fun with the kids!
Only downside was the noise from departing guests in the early hours of the morning, but if you get a room away from the front doors you shouild be OK.
Tried to get a late booking this year but was unable to.
Portinatx is a small town with a few bars and shops. Mini golf also there for some entertainment in the evening.
Mainly family groups there, too quiet for the 18-30 crowd!
