The hotel was finished in June last year and there are quite a few teething problems, some of which we took up with the management. The hotel is very nice, but lacks personality or atmosphere. The rooms are very nice but don't accept one near the unfinished water feature as the stagnant water on top of it will prevent you opening your patio doors! When we complained we were moved very quickly and without any fuss. The hotel is rather out on a limb with only the Atlantico shopping centre next door but will be connected in time to Caleta de Fuste by a promenade but this could be spoilt by the continual building work taking place all around the hotel, which creates lots of dust so prepared to be sand blasted! The real big problem was the food - diabolical! It was either cold or uncooked or not available at all. The tables were not laid and we had to find our own cutlery along with lots of others. This is not a five star service. We objected and were told that the problems would be rectified but not whilst we were there, guests were fed up and going out to the Chinese at the Atlantico. Bath robes were not available, I requested them on several occasions and they pretended not to understand or promised they would be brought. Breakfast was not served on the terrace, although the weather warranted it on some days but there was not enough staff to pull the blinds up and down! Med Hotels sold this hotel to us as a five star and Iwill provide a photo of the hotel to prove it is indeed only a very poor four star.!!!!!! We are pursuing this point at this time....
