Elea Beach: An enjoyable stay by Stu Evans |
| Posted 17 July 2005 about a visit in June 2005 | |
Stayed July 2005 with Thompson (who are currently pioneering an invisible rep service). We paid for the all inclusive when we arrived, which worked out 12 euros per person per day. All inc drinks were limited to Beer, wine, ouzo and brandy but still it was excellent quality for the price (and for the amount we drunk). The bar staff and waiters were very friendly, as were the reception and restaurant staff. The hotel was very clean and maids changed sheets every day inc. sunday. The location couldn't be better and it's well worth an extra 5 euros a day for a sea view. The entertainment in the evening was acceptable too.
Most of the guests are german and French, who are both incredably rude races of people. Have to agree with other reviews on this.
The only other down point was the loony 70 odd year old hotel owner, who we ended up having an enormous row with on our final night over my 7 year old nephew throwing rocks into the sea. We did complain about this vile creature and the reception manager sent a bottle of nice red wine for the inconvienience. Fair enough, but if you do see this horrendous little man, throw his flip-flops and towel in the sea and run away.

Elea Beach Reservations |
Elea Beach: Elea beach hotel by Derek Graham |
| Posted 02 November 2003 | |
Myself and 6 mates went to this hotel in Aug 2001, although we had no complaints about rooms or meals, the attitude of the staff could have been better (with the exception of outside bar staff). Far too many ignorant germans as well for my liking, who dont know the meaning of manners. Would definately go back to resort but certainly not this hotel.
