| Elounda Travel Guide: Don't miss it
| | Written by Sharon Whittaker on 31 Oct 2006 about a trip in Oct 2003. Trip was for a couple on holiday. Sharon Whittaker would definitely visit again.
| Elounda shopping | | | Although Elounda is a small village there are all the shops you need for essentials, as well as gift shops. There are two supermarkets which stock everything you require. If you go at the end of the season as we did you may get a good bargain, as most shops are selling off their goods (some at less than half price), do shop around though. |
Elounda nightlife | | | Although Elounda is only a small village, there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. And my husband being a football fanatic even found one that was televising the match he simply couldn't miss (I think it may have been called the Tropical?). |
Elounda restaurants | | | There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and we didn't have one bad meal in the week we were there. Friends bar is really good, and their pizza's are excellent There's one on the road out of Elounda towards Plaka, I can't remember what it's called but there's a picture of a windmill outside. |
Elounda day trips | | | We went on the local bus to Aghios Nikolaos which was very cheap (a couple of Euros each I think). The town was very busy and I was glad I had opted to stay in Elounda |
