Els Llorers: what a laugh by Derek Hesketh |
| Posted 30 June 2005 about a visit in May 2005 | Overall rating: 5.5 |
When you first arrive at this hotel you may be forgiven for thinking you have been dropped off at the welsh mountains, nice view but a bugger to get there. with a 1 in 3 hill right outside the accomodation it is no place for the elderly, unfit, disabled. Being a self catering appartment the cooking facilities are very poor, no oven, toaster or grill, just 4 gas rings.rooms are cleaned each 3 days but dont expect to have the floor done they often filthy. There are 2 pools to use if you dont mind earache for a day or so afterwards and if you are a little too noisy you can expect a visit from the security who will not hesitate to contact the local constabulary. There is 1 shop nearby and what can i say about that? Easy at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!! The entertainment is very poor as is the service but, I have to admit the bar staff are very nice and the rep was wonderfull. Also on the good side there is a cheap bus to town every 20 mins if you can get down the hill.

Els Llorers: Terrible time by Barzey |
| Posted 26 July 2004 about a visit in May 2004 | Overall rating: 3.3 |
This is entered on behalf of a member of my family whom took his wife and 2 children there for their first ever foreign holiday, and what a tale of woe.
After reading all the criticisms on the previous reviews they have to agree and things do not appear to have changed. Here are their observations as they found things during their 2 week stay:-
Obviously they cannot do anything about the darn great hill but it still significant to anyone considering going to this hotel.
They offered a twice weekly Disco for the children which comprised of playing just four records followed by a "Goodnight everyone"
They also offered 'Bingo' twice a week which consisted of just two games only.
Staff attitude still seems to be the same as previously stated.
With regards to the general area there is nothing else in close proximity to the hotel so you have no other option than to travel away from the hotel or put up with the items listed above. OR hire one of their televisions and watch Spanish only TV. When asked if they can supply Sky or english channels they were told, "What do you expect? This is Spain." - Ah well!!!
Lastly they were not impressed with the shingle and very rocky beach in the resort.

Els Llorers: It wasnt too bad by Hayley_86uk |
| Posted 05 January 2004 | |
When me and my mates got into our apartment we were a little dissapointed bcoz it was nothing like the pics we had seen, but we figured we were only going to be sleeping in there so it was ok. But when we opened the fridge there was beer in the bottom where it had spilt and the cleaners had obviously not been in to clean the apartment, also we had to walk around in shoes bcoz the floor was filthy untill we cleaned it ourselves. On a good note the food in the bar was nice and the staff were helpfull

Els Llorers: STEEP hill! by Sam! |

Els Llorers is probably mor ideal 4 groups of teenagers than families. It was v.clean & t rooms wer in gud condition, t food in general was ok bt t english breakfasts wer v.gud, however t staff wer rude & moody! The only draw back was t steep slope up 2 t accomodation, (ok if u wntd 2 gt fit) & it is bout 20 mins away from t town bt a bus did run every 10 mins & only cost 85 cent wiv t last 1 been at 10:20pm ideal 4 us clubbers! All in all they r nice apartments if u dnt mind travellin a bit 2 gt entertainment, however this is prob beta than havin drunks been on ur doorstep in t town!

Lovely!! they are so clean, friendly and its a great place to do whatever you want! only one bad thing is its on a side of a bloody huge mountain - but u dont noticed once your plastered!!! its a bit out of the way from the beach/town, but there is a bus thats comes every 20 mins and youre there in seconds!! A really great base - that helped us have one great holiday! my friend met her fiance there and they want to honeymoon there - so it must be good!!
