Definitely

We booked this short break so that we could see the Christmas markets and soak up the atmosphere of Prague at this time.

We were certainly not disapointed. The hotel itself is towards the top of Wenceslas Square, which was a very atmospheric place to be. To access the hotel you need to enter a small shopping mall (bit strange the first time, but we got used to it!).

The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and looked well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. Upon entering the hotel room we were confronted with a very clean and modern room.

TV and satellite were not English (no suprises there!) with a mini-bar in the room. The beds were a good size and were comfortable. The room itself (we had a triple) was a very good size with plenty of space.

Views from the room were non-existant as the room overlooked other hotels, but were far enough away not to be instrusive. A maid service kept our room clean! The bathroom was also a good size with bath and shower facilities.

Breakfast was the only downside as you had to leave the hotel and walk to a small cafe within the shopping mall. The quality of the breakfast was only ok.

Location wise it was great. As evening came and Prague started to light up, the view from the hotel entrance was superb. All the way down Wenceslas Square was lit up with Christmas lights.

A minutes walk and we were amongst the Christmas markets and savouring the sights, smells and sounds of the local Czech market. Wenceslas Square itself had plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, casino's, etc. If you want to save yourself some money, walk down any of the small side streets and the price difference is dramatic.

Local cafes were considerably cheaper than the main-stream restaurants, yet were literally a minutes walk away.

About 10-15 minutes stroll and you are in the Old Town Square and are presented with a larger Christmas market.

Most of the major sights are within easy walking distance from the hotel. We, obviously, went just before Christmas and found Prague to be well worth visiting. We would not hesitate to visit again. The architecture was superb, food, atmosphere, in fact everything was great!

The local cuisine is a must. Main-stream prices were similar to a reasonable UK outlet, whereas the side-streets were considerably cheaper. There's even the usual fast-food places to keep the kids going!

Other than the breakfast, the hotel was good and we would definetly stay there again.
