| Farnham Travel Guide: Charming Farnham with a trick for all
| | Written by David Spence on 18 Jul 2006 about a trip in Jun 2006. Trip was for a group of friends on short break. David Spence would definitely visit again.
| Farnham History and Culture | | Farnham is a charming town with something for all.
The first thing that strikes you about Farnham is how picturesque it is. With a castle perched on top of the hill overlooking this town it really sets the scene and you wont be dissapointed by the old cobbled streets that wind their way around the numorous courtyards that make up the town. There are also many modern shops for those that like to spend and some bars and cafe's for those that prefer something slightly more laid back.
Farnhams real trump card though is the restaurants that line the largely pedestrianised areas. Whether its mainstream eateries such as pizza express or independant places it really does offer a wealth of food venues with strength in depth.
Go to farnham and you will not be dissapointed, there are lovely playgrounds for kids, well looked after pedestrian areas and lovely shops such as Elphicks, and Bars and Retaurants, in short its a beautiful place with very friendly people. |
